About Us: Horses & Icelandic Sheep

Our Sheep Adventure

Leia has always been an animal person, but she never saw herself as a shepherdess. Then she heard about Icelandic sheep. After hours (or days) of research, she found the sheep she was looking for. In 2015, we brought our first sheep, a very small starter flock, home. It has been a long learning curve since then, but the business has continued to grow and thrive as things continue to change.

For more information on our wooly, horned beauties, please see our Primitive Icelandic Sheep page.

Education

Leia graduated from Washington State University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences Production Management. Since then she has been pursuing a career in that field, initially focusing on horse training and then adjusting to add riding lessons and raising sheep. She always hoped she would use her degree, but never would have thought she would use it as much as she is now.
